Vicksburg, Mich., research company launches $2 million expansion
Construction began this week on a $2 million expansion of a pharmaceutical research company here that could result in a 50 percent increase in the company's work force.
Bridge Organics Co., founded in 1998 by five former The Upjohn Co. scientists, is seeing annual sales growth of 15 percent to 25 percent and has outgrown its 12,000-square-foot laboratories in Vicksburg.
It will add 8,000 square feet to the building in the six-month-long project, President Ed Hessler said.
