A South Portland pet store manager went on the defense to protect his store from a would-be robber.

Police said Sunday afternoon, Alan Bonville, 27, stole items from the Petco fish department and then left the store.The store manager followed Bonville and confronted him in the parking lot.Police said that is when Bonville took out a knife and tried to slash the manager twice.

The Union Trust Bank (UTB) on Saturday September 13th 2008 formally opened its newly constructed branch at New England Ville in Freetown. The building is located opposite the Special Court building.

The New England Branch of UTB is the second branch opened by the management last week. The first was opened last Saturday at Brookfields by National Stadium Car Park.
