FundingPost, an entrepreneur and investor network reaching more than 200,000 executives and 6,000 venture capital and angel investors across the nation, has announced the winners of its 2008 Pitching Across America(TM).  FundingPost established the competition in 2004. In the past three years more than 250 Venture Capital Funds and Angel Investors have participated as judges, voting on over 1000 business summaries from emerging companies nationwide. The Pitching Across America competition not only showcases emerging companies to investors, but helps Venture Capital and Angel Investors quickly identify worthwhile investment opportunities.  Judging criteria consisted of several key points including: the professionalism of the written summary, current stage of development (customers, revenue), competitive advantage and need in the marketplace, feasibility for success, and whether the company is worthy of investment.  Investor judges this year included Battery Ventures, Canaan Partners, Draper Triangle Ventures, ETF Venture Funds, First Round Capital, Hummer Winblad Venture Partners, IBM Venture Capital Group, New York Angels, Rho Ventures, RRE Ventures, and over a hundred others.
