NGCSU trains the teachers to help fill the nursing shortage

There has been a nationwide shortage of nurses for at least two decades. But it’s not because nobody wants to be a nurse. "You have a lot of students who want to go into nursing," said Toni Barnett, head of the nursing program at North Georgia College & State University. "We get between 400 and 600 applications a year."

Joey Gallant

Hello and welcome! My name is Joe Gallant. I am a Community Manager for the Nursing Group here at Career Connection Network. I am a Registered Nurse at Wentworth Douglass Hospital in Dover, NH. I have been working in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit since January 2006. Prior to working in the PACU I was on the Medical Surgical Floor and obtained my Medical/Surgical Certification. I have been a Travelling RN, and have worked in several areas of long term care from staff nurse/unit coordinator to MDS coordinator and Assistant Director.
