Members of the Washington State Nurses Association, which represents more than 1,200 nurses at the University of Washington Medical Center, picketed outside the Seattle hospital Wednesday to draw attention to fruitless contract negotiations. After eight negotiating sessions since June failed to produce a mutually agreed-upon contract, a mediator has been called in.
